Hey everyone! It’s good to be back. I was looking forward to taking a few days off blog writing to dive a little deeper into the Word and into prayer. Bummer I got sick on Monday…but having to be still had its advantages. My time off writing did not look like I had planned it to look, but I’ll tell you all about that in my next post. 🙂 I hope you all got to dive a little deeper yourselves. Make a whip…

Have you ever made anything? I mean anything. It could be a meal or a batch of cookies. It could be crocheting a blanket or making a birdhouse. All of these things have one thing in common… a list of materials. Anytime you start a project, you generally start with a list of materials you’ll need to make your project. Unless you’re MacGyver, then you can just look around the room and make a radio from a pocket knife, a paperclip, and some string! (And I just lost everyone who grew up after the ’80’s! LOL) Jesus made something, and we need to make something too…

It’s a nail biter….

As I sit here trying to write this post, the Bama vs. Oklahoma game is on the TV. Half the room here is for Bama and half is for Oklahoma. One person is singing the theme song for Oklahoma the musical and one is singing Sweet Home Alabama. It’s actually kind of funny. Me, I’m just enjoying good football. We are 45 seconds from the half, and it’s hard to tell who is going to end up winning this game. The potential is there for it to go either way. It’s quite the nail biter…

motive matters

Several years ago, I made a decision to eat healthier and start to exercise. My hormones and blood sugar were WAY out of whack and I had packed on about 60 extra pounds. My motive at first was just to feel better and get healthier. The weight loss was just a bonus. As time went on, my motive started to change and it became all about the weight loss. I was driven. I noticed when it was just about how I looked, I lost my joy and focus and it was much harder. I kept having to get my focus back on track…back to my health. My motive affected everything…
