Am I invisible?

My kids have the movie The Incredibles, and I can’t even begin to count how many times we’ve watched it. If you haven’t seen it, it’s a Disney/Pixar movie about a family of super heroes with super powers who’ve gone into hiding and are trying to be normal. The daughter, Violet, has the invisibility super power. She can disappear. She just blends into the background and no one can see her. I have felt like Violet quite a few times in my life, especially when it comes to my dreams and walking out the plan of God in my life. I kind of just blend into the background. Like no one can see me. “Can God even see me? Did He forget about me? Did he forget about my dreams? Hellooooo!?! Anybody up there??? Am I invisible?”

October is my favorite color!

Fall is my absolute favorite season, and October is my favorite color! I love it when the temps cool off and the leaves change….especially the bright orange and red ones. I always loved raking the leaves into big piles and watching the kids jump into them. Bonfires and s’mores. Hoodies and jeans. And of course…my favorite…football.

I’m a visual learner, and I think God gave us the different seasons to give us a visual aid of what life can look like. Where I live, we have 4 very clear and definite seasons. Spring, summer, winter, and fall. (Or almost winter, winter, still winter, and construction!)

Dare to Trust

Romans 4 says that we are to have faith like Abraham’s. He didn’t waver. He stood strong. He plunged into the promise, convinced God would do what only He could do. But what does that really look like? In Dare to Trust, we look at Abraham’s life to see what his faith looked like and how we can have that same kind of trust today.
