I’ll take that…

Okay. I have a confession to make. And I hope it helps you the way it has helped me today. My confession is….I can be a bit of a control freak. (And my husband said a huge AMEN!) I had never really realized it until a few years ago, and believe me, I’ve really endeavored to change. And I think I’ve made great strides in changing…but sometimes, I see it pop it’s ugly little head back up.

Like yesterday….

Extraordinarily Ordinary

For almost the past week, I’ve been down for the count with some bug that’s made me weak and tired. Thankfully, it’s moving on now, but for days I was just stuck in bed. And when you don’t watch TV and are too tired to read for long, there isn’t much to do. Except Pinterest (and I just lost all the guys reading this. Hang in there….it’ll come back around). While I looked at every pin ever pinned, I ran across this saying, and it really stuck out to me: Enjoy the little things…for one day you will look back and realize they were the big things…..read more to see why ordinary is okay.

What do you see?

We used to play this game at my grandmother’s house growing up where you would look all around and focus in on something, and then you would say, “Ridda Marie, Ridda Marie, I see something you don’t see, and it’s……white.” Or whatever color it was. Then everyone else would look around and try to guess what it was. And whoever won got to be “it.” Our words would describe what we were seeing. Is it a cloud? Is it a flower? Of course, if no one guessed, you got to be it again, so you always tried to pick some teeny-tiny small fleck of something only you could see. David shows us something about this in Psalm 57…

Typos, e-mails, and restoring such a one….

I started a new job in December. I’m a virtual EA (executive assistant) for a company based in Atlanta, Georgia. It’s a Christian company, and I work with some pretty great people – at least as far as I can tell over e-mail. And…I hate typos. I try my hardest to make sure I don’t have any errors in my blogs and e-mails, but I’m not perfect, and sometimes one just slips in…..see what typos and e-mails have to do with restoring such a one…..
