Break the silence…
Details are a part of life. My work is very detailed oriented. So is my life. And between my clients and church and the kids, I keep a lot of lists going. Especially now when you throw in the holiday season, I have a lot of lists. A. LOT. OF. LISTS. Besides the every-day work and kid tasks, there’s decorating and shopping and wrapping and Christmas cards and baking and planning and cooking. There are parties and programs and Christmas concerts and Christmas services at church. And this year let’s just throw in this cold/chest thing going on in my body for a month I just can’t seem to shake, and the fact that I have only purchased one Christmas gift so far and haven’t even started my baking, and you have a recipe for panic.
Do Not Be Disturbed
I’m a bit behind in reading my daily Bible. Okay, a LOT behind. I may or may not be on September 21st. But in my defense, I’ll get to reading, something stands out to me, I start to study it out, and before you know it, I have to get ready for work or something. And then I get even farther behind. So, as I was reading on September 21st today, I got 6 verses into it and the phrase “do not be disturbed” stood out to me. So, I stopped. Again. And I never got off September 21st. But I did get very encouraged. And it ended up being JUST what I needed today when…
Things I learned on my walk today…
It’s been a while since I’ve posted, but it’s been a crazy few weeks. We had a death in the family, and add to that back-to-school, band, football, and soccer…well…let’s just say my brain was dizzy from spinning. But I’m so glad to be back to writing again. These are just a few thoughts I had on my walk today that will hopefully help us keep running this race we’re in with Him. Blessings…Toni
