Sometimes we can forget what it was like, life before Christ. I was lost and didn’t know it. I had no idea I owed a debt I couldn’t pay. I didn’t know Jesus paid it for me over 2,000 years ago on this cross.
I didn’t know until someone prayed for me. Until someone talked to me. Until they invited me over and over and over again to church. I didn’t know until He opened my eyes to see His love and mercy and grace poured out on Calvary.
And now we get to be that person. The one who prays. Who tells. Who invites.
Let’s be sensitive this weekend. Who needs our prayers? Who needs to know? Who can we bring with us to church?
Father, help us see those all around us with redemptive eyes. Those who are lost and hurting and broken, desperately in need of a Savior with no idea they need Him. I pray you will open their eyes to see their need of You. Open their hearts to accept Your gift. Draw them home to You through your peace and grace and mercy that will change their lives forever.
Help us live so full of your presence that everyone we meet comes into contact with You.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
Blessings…..
