I’m sitting here on my porch swing, eating my lunch, taking a quick break from work, and listening to the title track from my husband’s upcoming CD, I Stand Amazed.
And that about sums up how I’m feeling today. Amazed. This has been a long time coming. Years of praying and crying and standing and wanting to quit but holding on. And then…dreams really do come true.
We’re having a worship night tonight. Pre-sales will start. He has his very own website. The CD will release in a few weeks. Amazed!
And the most exciting part…..this isn’t the end.
Yes….it’s a dream fulfilled. It’s exciting to touch with our hands what we’ve only touched by faith for all these years, but it’s just the beginning.
Dreams really do come true, and they really do take a lot of work.
When Abraham and Sarah had Isaac…the promise was fulfilled and the work was just beginning. The sleepless nights and endless diaper changing (did they use diapers back then?) and feedings and work.
When the priests stepped into the Jordan River and the waters pulled back and the people crossed over into the Promised Land for the very first time, that had to be an exciting time for all of them. But that wasn’t the end.
They stepped into the promise and then had to take the land. That’s when the work started.
But…it’s so worth all the work.
It’s exciting to record these songs that the Lord has given us and release them. And it is worth all the years of waiting and wondering and standing. It’s worth all the behind-the-scenes paperwork and legal hoops and details. Dreams are worth the work.
And we pray as you listen to them, you’re able to worship the One who gave them. We pray He will flood and saturate your lives with His presence as you listen. As you worship. As you stand amazed at the only One who is worthy of our awe.

If you’re waiting…keep waiting. Don’t let go of the hope. Don’t let go of the dream. I’m here to tell you, dreams really do come true.
Blessings…
